Merry Christmas everyone!

A recent survey of food habits in the UK has seen a drop in the consumption of offal by 80% over the last 25 years. It suggests that this is linked directly to the disappearance to British food culture, if such a thing ever existed and the general belief that food particularly meat comes in a packet or wrapped in cellophane. Interestingly the survey only covered offal that's sold as such, not the less digestable bits and pieces that ironically end up in processed meats like cheap burgers and sausages. It would seem that those of us who eat meat even in small quantities don't want to be reminded that it once had a face, but remember this...the next time you eat a burger it will probably contain cow udder. Yes even the ones that come wrapped in nice polystyrene cartons you give to your kids. Maybe we should just be a bit more honest with ourselves about what we eat and where it comes from.

So the FA have gone and banned Rio Ferdinand for 8 months for missing a drugs test. In the constant battle for control of the footbal league it looks like the FA has won this round and rightly so, having the players, their agents or god forbid Gordon 'Nitrazepam' Taylor call the shots is rather like having the lunatics running the asylum.

I'm not sure that when designing XBox the developers ever thought they would have a console that would be bulletproof...

I saw a quote from Charles Clarke, the Secretary of State for Education and Skills, the other day that said education for education sake was 'a bit dodgy'. I'm sorry Mr Clarke but that's quiet frankly....'bollocks'.
